It is surprisingly easy to get to Ullapool, the village closest to Waterfell. The village is approximately one hour’s drive from Inverness and the route is easy to follow as you cross Scotland from the east coast to the west.
Whilst Ullapool is far to the north, the drive is superb and many motoring magazines have nominated the road from Inverness to Ullapool as one of the very best driving roads in the United Kingdom. Ullapool is perfect for bike or car clubs to visit and is of course on the NC500. However, be careful if you are arriving at dawn or dusk because you may be surprised by the number of stags you can encounter on the road between Inverness and Waterfell.
Flying is another option and there are regular flights from London Luton, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Amsterdam, Belfast, Dublin, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and many other European destinations into Inverness. EasyJet have increased the frequency of flights and, by choosing your flight times carefully, you can get some excellent value fares. Car rental facilities are available at the airport and there is also a bus service from Inverness city centre to Ullapool.

Driving Directions to Waterfell at Sealoch House
Waterfell at Sealoch House is located in the small hamlet of Loggie.
Follow the A9 from Perth to Inverness. It is worth noting that the services for petrol and refreshments are not actually on the A9 and you need to follow signs to local services that are not all open 24 hours. A new average speed camera system has been installed along this stretch of road. At Inverness, you will see signs to Ullapool via the A835 and you then drive for approximately 50 miles. Approx 6 miles before Ullapool you will see a sign indicating a left turn to Letters and Loggie. Take this turn.
Drive along the tree lined road for approximately 500m and then take the right turn signposted Loggie. Continue along this narrow, tarmac road for about 4 miles enjoying the stunning views. Be very careful to avoid the sheep that graze on the roadside because they do not move out of the way quickly! You will see a sign welcoming you to Loggie. Waterfell/ Sealoch House and the drive leading down to it are clearly visible on your right soon after.
